In the morning, your voyage proceeds to the jetty, where you’ll embark on a private boat excursion to Mingun, an 11 km journey that lasts about an hour. Revel in the charming vistas of the river and observe the daily life of the locals, as well as the small longtail boats, bamboo rafts, and ferries bustling with cargo. Upon reaching Mingun, begin your exploration with the Mingun Bell, an impressive artifact that weighs over 87 tons and stands taller than 3.7 meters, holding the title of the world’s largest uncracked bell.
Next, visit the stunning Hsinbyume (Ma Thein Tan) Pagoda, a pristine white structure designed to emulate Mount Meru. Also, witness the grandeur of the unfinished Mingun Pagoda, intended to be the largest in the world. As you cruise back to Mandalay along the river, soak in the serene atmosphere.
Continue with a stop at the Kuthodaw Pagoda, which is home to the world’s largest book. This remarkable book comprises 1,460 marble pages, each three and a half feet wide, five feet long, and five inches thick, displayed on individual stands. Together, these pages span across 13 acres. Your day culminates with a visit to Mandalay Hill, where you can bask in the breathtaking panorama of the city and the verdant landscape beyond as the day transitions into a picturesque sunset.

Bagan stands out as one of Asia’s most significant archaeological treasures and has been recognized by UNESCO.
Once you’ve checked in and taken some time to unwind at the hotel, your evening adventure commences. Visit a charming complex that includes the Payathonzu, Lemyentha, and Nandamannya Temples, which offer breathtaking views of the expansive plains. This excursion serves as an excellent primer to Bagan’s majestic architecture. Enjoy a walking tour around this exquisite temple complex, capturing stunning photographs. The day’s experiences culminate with a drive to the pier, where you’ll board a boat to witness the sunset over the Ayeyarwaddy River—a truly memorable highlight of your journey.

Make your way to the magnificent Shwezigon Pagoda, a creation of King Anaweahta from the 11th century. Its bell-shaped, golden form set the standard for Myanmar’s pagodas that followed. The pagoda stands as a significant religious site and a focal point for pilgrims in Bagan, radiating a sense of golden splendor and serene solidity.
Next, visit the Ananda Temple, a crowning achievement of early architectural design and one of Bagan’s most exquisite, expansive, and well-maintained temples. Set off on an adventure to Inle Lake, beginning with a morning flight to Heho, the region’s entry point, which is roughly a 40-minute journey. From there, enjoy a picturesque drive to the Nyaung Shwe valley, located at the fringe of Inle Lake, which takes about an hour. En route, take a moment to visit a local workshop where you can witness the craft of papermaking, a skill traditionally used in the creation of Shan parasols.
Then, make a stop at the Shwe Yan Pyay, an enchanting red-painted teak structure from the 19th century, notable for its distinct character that diverges from the royal architectural style prevalent in many of Myanmar’s renowned monasteries and pagodas.
Next, proceed to the jetty to embark on a serene boat tour, a haven for photographers. The tranquil lake is speckled with lush floating greenery, fishermen’s canoes, and picturesque hills that form an idyllic setting. Observe the Intha fishermen, known for their distinctive ‘leg rowing’ technique, where they stand and row with one leg wrapped around the oar, allowing their hands to deftly handle the conical fishing net.
The quintessential way to experience the enchantment of Inle Lake is by navigating its waters on a local long-tail boat. Be captivated by the Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, the most sacred site in the southern Shan State. Pause to appreciate the artistry of traditional silk weaving on wooden looms and the unique use of lotus flower fibers in fabric making. Glide past the expansive floating gardens cultivated by the Intha people, who grow a variety of fruits and vegetables on the lake.

Proceed along a canal flanked by trees, with local farmers tending to their fields amidst the Shan Hills.

Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source.
