You will be greeted by your tour guide and driver at Noi Bai airport, who will take you on a 30-km journey to Hanoi and assist with hotel check-in. You have the rest of the day to enjoy as you please.
Overnight in Hanoi
Explore the capital and its most iconic attractions. Start with the Temple of Literature, a tranquil sanctuary that was the first university of Vietnam. Admire the architecture and the gardens of this cultural treasure. Next, visit the Fine Arts Museum and admire the artworks of Vietnamese artists. Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, then hop on a cyclo and explore the narrow streets of the Old Quarter. The tour ends with a spectacular Water Puppet Show, a unique art form that showcases the culture and folklore of Northern Vietnam. At the end of the day, transfer to Hanoi Railway Station for an overnight train to Lao Cai. Overnight on the train
Arrive at Lao Cai Railway Station in the early morning and meet your local guide.
Transfer to Sapa, a stunning place at 1600m above sea level, where you can trek and explore the diverse cultures of ethnic minorities.
Refresh yourself with breakfast and shower at the hotel, then visit the highlights of the town, such as the town market, the iconic Holy Rosary Church, and the Sapa Lake.
Have lunch at a local restaurant, then trek down to Cat Cat village in the afternoon. See how the Black Hmong people make and dye silk from jutes in their traditional way.
Enjoy dinner on your own, then walk back to the town for a comfortable night.
Overnight in Sapa
In the morning, visit one of the lively hill tribe markets in Lao Cai province and witness the colorful and vibrant exchange of goods and culture among different ethnic groups. Depending on the day of your visit, you will go to either Bac Ha market (Sundays), Coc Ly market (Tuesdays) or Can Cau market (Saturdays). You will be amazed by the diversity and richness of the Flower Hmong, Tay, Nung and other hill tribes as they interact and trade with each other.
After lunch, walk around and see how the local people grow and produce their crops.
At the end of the day, return to Lao Cai railway station and board the overnight train to Hanoi.
Overnight on the train
Arrive in Hanoi in the early morning and transfer to your hotel for a short rest and breakfast.
Later, drive to Halong bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with stunning natural beauty. Its name means “The Descending Dragons” in Vietnamese. The bay features more than a thousand islands of limestone that jut out of the sea, and some of them have incredible caves within.
Arrive at the pier, board the cruise and start exploring this amazing bay. Enjoy a wonderful journey among the surreal islands in the calm emerald green waters.
At night, you will anchor on the bay and savor a delicious seafood dinner on board.

Start your day early in the morning with coffee and tea on the sundeck, along with a Tai Chi class. After breakfast, keep exploring the bay and some of its many caves.
Lunch is served on board as you head back to the docks.
After disembarkation, drive back to Hanoi for about three hours and spend the rest of the day at your leisure.
Overnight in Hanoi
Enjoy some free time until transfer to the airport for your outbound flight.
